Who We Are
A National Voice for the Next Generation of Nursing & Midwifery
NANSNM is the umbrella body representing student nurses and midwives across Nigeria. With roots dating back to 1949, we serve as the official student arm of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM).
We exist to unite, represent, protect, and develop student nurses and midwives through advocacy, academic and professional development, leadership development, welfare support, and opportunities for meaningful service and impact.
Our Motto
Service to Humanity
At the heart of nursing and midwifery lies an unwavering commitment to serving humanity. NANSNM embodies this calling—preparing student nurses and midwives to deliver compassionate care, advocate for community health, and lead with purpose.
From community health outreaches to public health advocacy, from welfare interventions to professional development—every initiative reflects our commitment to a healthier Nigeria and a stronger healthcare workforce.

Let's Build As One
Fellow student nurses and midwives, it is both an honor and a responsibility to serve as your National President. This administration was born from a deep conviction that NANSNM belongs to every student nurse and midwife in Nigeria—and that together, we can build an association worthy of the profession we represent.
Our theme, “Let's Build As One,” reflects our commitment to unity, reform, institutional strengthening, strategic partnerships, digital transformation, and global relevance. We have pursued reconciliation where there was division, reform where there was stagnation, and partnership where there was isolation.
From constitutional reform to CAC registration, from reconciling regions to establishing the Pan-African Nursing Students Alliance, this tenure has been defined by collective action and shared purpose.
Service to Humanity.
